Getting your hands dirty
Itkovian:

Believe it or not, but it's not a good idea to go work in the dirt wearing your ring(s). I had a very nice polished one, with tiny band around the ring, but wearing it for work has made the surface completely smooth. Which sucks.

But then again, I believe the appearance of a wedding ring may change over time... If you want to keep its original appearance, it's best to leave it in the box in a safe, but that is not the purpose of a wedding ring, right?

Itkovian:

No, but you do not want it reduced to a mere ordinary ring after a few years. It's supposed to last a lifetime. So it may be worth it pocketing it for a few hours when doing hard chores.

There's no ring: it only exists in your mind. It just consists of tiny packets of energy, only there once in a while and surrounded by an enormous void, barely kept together because you think they are there...

I should get some sleep. Where did I hang my life ;-)
