Die Zeit using Drupal
Just like Die Welt (The World), Die Zeit (The Time), a widely respected German newspaper, recently launched a Drupal powered community website at http://uni.zeit.de. Go Germany, go!
Playboy using Drupal
The German Playboy website is using Drupal now:
Die Welt using Drupal
Die Welt (The World), a big German newspaper published by Axel Springer recently started using Drupal at Welt Debatte.
Talking about Bill Gates, their second blog post coincidentally talks about Bill Gates and Drupal -- but in an informative way. They seem proud to be using Drupal.
"Ads of the World" using Drupal
Ads of the World is a great, fast growing Drupal website that I wanted to blog about for some time now. It's a community for advertising professionals, but it has lots of great stuff to like -- especially if you're a wannabe photographer like me.
The site is run by Ivan Raszl and was built with the help from the Drupal ninjas at 2bits.com.
Indymedia and Drupal
Indymedia is a network of autonomous independent news centers from around the globe. They take a strongly left-wing perspective on political issues and have an anti-capitalist bias. Turns out that more and more Indymedia websites start using Drupal, including the Belgian Indymedia website. They are self-organizing on this Indymedia-Drupal wiki page.
NowPublic launches new website
NowPublic launched their new website today! Think of NowPublic as a combination of Slashdot, Digg and Flickr (albeit not as popular yet). Contributors share the news they read as well as original content that they write, creating a popularity index or "best of the news" which readers can then view by the subjects and locations that interest them. In addition, members can also contribute to any story by adding audio, video, and photos. Of course, they are using Drupal.
(Disclosure: I am an advisor to NowPublic.)
