State of Drupal presentation (March 2012)

Last week at DrupalCon Denver, I gave my traditional state of Drupal presentation. A total of 3000 were present at DrupalCon. A lot of people asked me for my slides. So in good tradition, you can download a copy of my slides (PDF, 21 MB) or you can watch a video recording of my keynote.

First time listening keynote on Drupal and I have to say a very informative and honest speech. Most people are afraid to talk about their products weaknesses but I think it's important.
Keep it up!

Excellent presentation Dries. And though my mind spins because your approach also means: it's getting harder and harder to upgrade existing older Drupal sites to the current version (the jump from 6 to 7 was huge, but the advantages of 7 outweigh the ever increasing problems of getting a complex site from 6 to 7) it is worth the pain and work such migrations will cost.

Symphony as a driver for Drupal 8 sounds like a heavy change but I must say you are 100% right with your overall direction!
