Pearl Jam - Black

I must have listened to this Pearl Jam song a million times. This video chills up my spine and makes me want to be a rock star. Eddie Vedder's raw passion comes straight from his heart and his soul and can bring a grown man to its knees. Powerful stuff!

Great pick, Dries!

I remember the good old grunge days when all in a sudden Seattle seemed to be the center of the music universe. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, ...

I miss those days, most of all because that was the time when I was addicted to MTV. Sad how things turned out. Haven't watched a music television for years cuz there's way too much commercial crap.

Pearl Jam now is the only band left from those glory grungy days and I personally consider "Live - On Two Legs" being one of the best live albums ever made.

Best bands are those who can do it on stage...

Have you heard the live version they played in Antwerp in 2006? The vibes between the band and the audience are simply amazing. Ten still is one of my favourite all-time albums, anyway, it's sort of the album with which I identify my youth.

Yeah, thanks for sharing Dries. : )

Also a Pearl Jam fan... turn back to listen to Jeremy every now and then on YouTube. Interesting back story and video, though an unfortunate event in real life.

Hmm... re: the video, I wonder if smoking while drumming is such a good idea. :-/

but dries... you are a rockstar.

Seriously, this is totally the sound track of my youth, My flatmate in the kibutz when I was 20 played guitar and I remember how much emotion could be embedded in to that song.
I specifically remember when he and his girl friend broke up and I could practically hear his tears through this song which he kept playing over and over agin.

"I Know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a star, In somebody else's sky, but why, why, why Can't it be, can't it be mine"

The MTV Unplugged version is simply fantastic. Definitely one of their best songs and from their best album.
