Jacksonville using Drupal
Jacksonville, the largest city in Florida, is using Drupal (and Mollom) at http://jacksonville.com. The Florida Times-Union is the major daily newspaper in Jacksonville and Jacksonville.com is its official website. Cool!
Cool, I always thought Miami was the largest city. I woulda never guessed Jacksonville.
It's great seeing Drupal expand out and get more and more use.
June 3, 2009 - 12:58I think that's area, not population. Jacksonville consolidated with Duval county to form a huge metro area.
June 3, 2009 - 16:33If there is actual file http://jacksonville.com/CHANGELOG.txt - there is 5.10. And it's not good
June 3, 2009 - 13:17We use Drupal 5 for entertainment site of one large city in Russia.
It's Drupal 5, but not 5.10. It's actually Drupal 5 with Pressflow performance patches. When development began, key modules were not yet available for Drupal 6.
June 3, 2009 - 19:15With jooy.ru we have the same situation. And more than 30k strings of own code written so it's to expensive jump to drupal 6.x :(
I plan port all codebase from drupal 5 to drupal 7 when it become stable.
June 5, 2009 - 09:00Nice implementation.
The design could have been better by making good use of contrast & white space.
June 3, 2009 - 18:42As a Drupal user and Jacksonville web designer, I'm very pleased to see Jacksonville.com using Drupal. Great job Florida T-U!
