altruism

your motivation is about improving yourself. thats a component, but surely we want to elect people who are motivated to help the drupal project in specific ways. i am also concerned about your lack of prior contribution to the project. we are likely to elect people who have *demonstrated* capability to contribute.

I have two major concerns

I have two major concerns about your application:

1) there are other marketing candidates that have longer and more thought out applications than yours. I hope you're able to elaborate before the revisions are turned off.
2) you didn't put much time down to dedicate as a board member. I would think the marketing position needs at least twice the hours you put down per month.

Development also off-limits...

The Drupal Association can't touch Drupal's code base, by design. So as that's one of your primary goals, you need to clarify how you will contribute development without compromising this critical part of the statutes.
