What is your motivation for being a member of the Drupal Association?:
I've been using and working with Drupal for some years and would like to give back all what I've got all this time. I would love to be good enough with coding to contribute to have a better Drupal but I'm not. However, I can be of more help in other fields.
What are the primary goals you would like to work on?:
I would like to become a Community Ambassador in Catalonia (maybe Spain) and help spread Drupal as the OS CMS of reference here. Also, I want to help to organize next Drupalcons.
What strategy will you employ in order to accomplish said goals?:
I would like to settle our Catalan Drupal community in Barcelona, at the Citilab, where we held our latest International Drupalcon, and organize courses and drupalcamps, give our support to local Drupal projects, build our local Drupal distribution, etc.
What yearly budget would you need in order to accomplish said goals?:
We are expecting to have a collaboration agreement with the Citilab which I hope will allow us to use their facilities, which would help us to be self dependent economically.
What strengths/experience you have to help you accomplish the goals?:
I've been working for a Catalan Drupal Community for the last 2 years and I coordinated the Drupalcon Barcelona 2007 at the Citilab.
How long have you been using Drupal, and how'd you get your start?:
I've been a Drupal user for almost 3 years. I was looking for a framework to use for my web developments.
Have you made existing community contributions, and if so, what?:
You will find my Drupal contributions here: http://drupal.org/user/16581. Other Drupal contributions: I'm an admin at groups.drupal.org for its localization and I coordinated Drupalcon Barcelona 2007.
Other community contributions: I founded the Catalan Bach Society (http://www.societatbach.org) and conducted their choir during the years 2003-2005. My last concert was the 6 cantatas of the Christmas Oratorio (wonderful concert indeed).
How much time can you invest in your Drupal Association work?:
Apply for Board of Directors membership:
Apply for Permanent Membership only
Board of Directors position:

Statutes:
I have read and understood the Statutes of the Drupal Association. I am prepared to participate by following those statutes.

I just downgraded my
I just downgraded my aspirations as events coordinator as I believe jredding deserves this position more than I do. I hope he gets the position of events director. I'd be glad to work with him as events coordinator, either global or local.
Repeating stuff said on the other 100 local apps :)
I'd vastly prefer goals that are centered around Drupal's local outreach on a global scale, rather than a specific locality, since the Drupal Association is a global organization.
Since you did such an awesome job organizing Drupalcon Barcelona, have you considered tossing your hat into the ring for one of the event coordinator positions at http://buytaert.net/drupal-association-organization-chart-2008-wishlist?
Besides that the community
Besides that the community ambassador is a possible position for a permanent member of the association, stated both in the post by Dries your are referencing and in the Drupal Association application page, and that for that position, as I believe, it does make more sense local goals rather than global ones, I, obviously, though about the event coordinator position. It is just that I wanted to be a little conservative. I'm not sure whether my English language skills are good enough for a 'higher' position. This is something you will better judge ;-)
In any case, as event coordinator/director, I believe the Drupal association should work on the following goals:
As I said, you better judge whether I can fit better as coordinator (permanent member) or as events director (Board of directors). I cannot update this application, anyway, so that's it!

Sorry, I could indeed edit the application, so I did it.
